Art in the Gardens is just one week away! It's been a very busy time creating a body of work for this great event. Art in the Gardens is my favourite event on the calander, a great day out in beautiful soroundings with a huge amount of original art and artists, Its a unique event that I would highly recommend!
A bit from the organisers:
Art in the Gardens is an annual event in a beautiful venue. Sheffield Botanical Gardens are transformed into an art and craft village, where you can wander round and enjoy (and purchase) all the fine exhibits on display. The whole family can enjoy a day out as there are fun activities to encourage children to enjoy ‘art and the environment’.
There are over 350 artists and crafts’ workers exhibiting more than 4,000 pieces of work. Over the weekend the event is expected to attract around 10,000 visitors.
I spent yesterday morning in the pavillion where I will be exhibiting, measuring up and working out how to curate the space alongside the beautiful planting, Its an art in itself!
This year the event takes place on: Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd September 10.30am – 5.30 pm
Preview Evening: Friday 31st August 6pm - 9pm
